At the Heritage Museum of Layton, join our celebration of the 250th year since the signing of the Declaration of Independence with our memory filled exhibit: Toys Through Time. From early dolls and action figures to modern faborites, this exhibit explores how toys reflect the heroes, fashion, technology, and dreams of each generation.

You will spot familiar faces such as Fisher Price Little People, Barbie, Ken, GI Joe, Pikachu, and Hello Kitty alongside marbles, books, and Layton’s unique history. Each toy is a snapshot of its moment in history—shaped by world events, cultural shifts, and the imagination of the children who loved them. Running alongside Layton's larger timeline, Toys Through Time reminds us that history lives in ordinary moments. The clothes we wore. The characters we admired. The games we invented while playing outside or on the living room floor.
