The Layton City Flag Raising Ceremony is a meaningful and patriotic way to begin the Fourth of July festivities as our community gathers together to honor the nation, remember its history, and celebrate the freedoms we cherish today.

This year’s ceremony will feature a special guest presentation sharing the fascinating history of the American Flag — from the earliest flags flown by colonists in opposition to British rule, to Betsy Ross sewing one of the first official American flags, and the inspiring evolution of the Stars and Stripes into the flag we proudly fly today. Come learn the stories, symbols, and sacrifices woven into every stitch of America’s flag while celebrating the spirit of freedom, unity, and patriotism together as a community.
