At the Heritage Museum of Layton, we honor the rich and vibrant history of Layton City and explore the many stories that have shaped our community. Through artifacts, historic photographs, and hands on exhibits, we invite you and your family to discover Layton’s past from Native American heritage and Pioneer settlement to the rise of local neighborhoods, businesses, and everyday life. Activities at the museum include optional free cabin tours, a monthly scavenger hunt, and a Children’s Exploration Corner.

Heritage Voices
Heritage Voices: An Evening with Layton's Farming Community. Step into the living history of Layton and hear directly from the people who know it best. Come hear from a panel of local farmers as they share stories of their land, their livelihoods, and the traditions that shaped this community for generations. Bring your family branding iron to brand a piece of wood as we try to preserve an important piece of local history. 6:30-7:30pm at the Kenley Pavilion, just West of the Kenley Amphitheater in Layton Commons Park.
The museum is wheelchair accessible
Tours of the Joseph Hill Cabin are available upon request. Stop by the museum or call to schedule a free tour.
